OrgByte Ecosystem Refund Policy
1. Overview
OrgByte is committed to delivering innovative, high-quality technology products and services across our ecosystem, including Taskdog, Keepdots, Sentrabyte, OrgByte Ads, and other platforms. Our refund policy is designed to be transparent, fair, and globally compliant with consumer protection standards. This policy outlines the terms under which refunds may be issued and applies to all users vendors, service providers, advertisers, customers, partners, and businesses engaging with any OrgByte platform or service globally.
2. General Refund Eligibility
- Billing errors: You were charged incorrectly or multiple times.
- Unfulfilled services: The purchased service was not delivered as described or at all.
- Technical failure: A product or platform failed to operate due to a fault on OrgByte’s end.
- Cancellations: A prepaid service was cancelled in accordance with our cancellation windows.
- Compliance breaches: OrgByte or any vendor violated compliance standards or platform terms.
Note: Refunds will not be issued due to change of mind, buyer’s remorse, or dissatisfaction with subjective preferences unless otherwise mandated by local laws.
3. Product-Specific Refund Conditions
A. Taskdog (Marketplace for Services, Products, and Experiences)
Services & Experiences:
- Refunds are allowed if the provider fails to deliver the service within the agreed time or delivers a service significantly below advertised standards.
- Reservation fees are refundable only if the vendor cancels or fails to honor the appointment.
- Partial refunds may apply if only part of a service is rendered or compromised.
Product Purchases:
- Products that are defective, misrepresented, or not delivered may be eligible for a full refund or replacement.
- Buyers must initiate refund claims within 7 days of delivery or expected delivery.
B. Keepdots (Verification & Trust Platform)
- Verification fees are non-refundable once a session is completed or a badge is issued.
- If a verification appointment is missed due to a technical failure on Keepdots' side, a reschedule will be offered at no additional cost.
- Refunds are available if:
- You cancel a scheduled verification at least 24 hours in advance.
- Your documents were rejected without a fair review process (determined after internal audit).
C. OrgByte Ads
- Refunds are available for:
- Campaigns not launched due to platform failure.
- Misallocation of ad budget.
- Traffic that violates our quality guidelines (e.g., bot traffic or invalid impressions).
- Campaigns that have started or completed are not eligible for refunds unless there is clear evidence of performance failure directly caused by OrgByte.
D. Sentrabyte (Security & Server Management Platform)
- Subscription fees are refundable within the first 7 days of the first billing cycle if the service has not been fully utilized or activated.
- Long-term enterprise agreements may include custom refund terms based on the SLA.
- Refunds will not be granted for improper configurations, third-party conflicts, or failure to follow usage instructions.
4. How to Request a Refund
- Log in to the relevant OrgByte product dashboard.
- Navigate to Billing > Transactions > Request Refund.
- Submit the form with:
- Transaction ID
- Reason for refund
- Supporting evidence (screenshots, chat history, vendor response, etc.)
Our team will review your request within 5–7 business days and notify you of the outcome.
5. Refund Processing Time
- 5–10 business days for cards and bank transfers
- 1–3 business days for wallet credits (where applicable)
Delays may occur depending on your payment provider.
6. Non-Refundable Items & Exceptions
- Digital downloads, software licenses, and token credits already used.
- Completed services delivered to agreed satisfaction.
- Subscription renewals not canceled before the renewal date.
- Third-party integrations or services purchased via OrgByte but governed by external terms.
7. Fraud, Abuse & Disputes
- Users who abuse the refund system (e.g., repeated false claims) may be suspended or blacklisted.
- Disputes involving vendors on Taskdog or Keepdots will undergo mediation by our Trust & Compliance team before a refund is granted.
- Refunds granted due to fraudulent activity may be reported to relevant authorities.
8. Country-Specific Rights
We honor all local consumer protection laws, including but not limited to:
- EU Digital Content Directive
- U.S. FTC guidelines
- Nigerian Consumer Protection Act
- UK Consumer Contracts Regulations
- Canadian Consumer Protection Laws
If local laws provide stronger consumer rights than this policy, we will honor those provisions accordingly.
